PDF | Word Landsford Canal Teacher Led Program:
From Discover Carolina, this resource offers an entire curriculum based around the natural and cultural history of the Landsford Canal. Materials include a lesson for pre-site visitation involving use and interpretation of topographic maps, an on-site activity allowing students to observe the remains of the canal, a mill, locks, and the surrounding landscape, as well as a post-site visitation lesson requiring calculation of the surface area and volume of the lifting lock in order to construct a model of it.
